New Adventures was established as a charity in 2008 and joined Arts Council England’s national portfolio in 2015. We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will be responsible for the human resources, financial and operational sustainability and efficiency of New Adventures, both the charity and its subsidiaries. They will ensure that all regulatory and statutory requirements are met and that the necessary operational systems are in place across all areas of the business to deliver the highest possible standards.
In this newly created role, the COO will have primary responsibility for staff development and fostering an engaged and positive work culture, ensuring best practices and the highest possible standards across all areas of business.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in a leadership or senior management role in the cultural or charitable sector. They will have extensive general management experience across a range of business functions, as well as experience in creative problem solving and innovative thinking, with experience in identifying and converting opportunities for an organization, while by robustly managing risks. Excellent business and financial acumen, as well as exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, are all essential for this role.
