SHARJAH, 20th September, 2022 (WAM) — The popular ‘Inspirational Talks’ series organized by the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) has chosen topics of key interest including common human habits, the power of words filled with hope for shaping societies, ways to boost productivity, and more, for its 11th annual edition, taking place September 28-29 at Expo Center Sharjah under the theme “Challenges and Solutions”.
One of these lectures, titled “The Gates of Thought and the Industry of Hope”, will be delivered by the eminent biologist, social activist and behavioral scientist, Dr. Khaled Ghattas. The conference centers around the theme of moderation and its importance in light of the excessive rationality and technology-based lives pursued by modern society. The distinguished speaker will also highlight the role of social thinking in providing solutions and calling for openness to the concepts of tolerance, creativity, hope and communication. Ghattas will also look at the need to employ art, literature and the natural sciences to shape the language of communication for the public.
In a lecture titled “Institutional Change and New Gatekeepers”, Awad bin Hasoum Al Darmaki, an Emirati poet, lecturer and writer, will discuss the need for governments to build new communication channels and partnerships capable of successfully navigating through the variables of public space. and overcome the resulting challenges by using cultural, sports and social media platforms in government communications.
The lecture entitled “Leadership with influence” will be delivered by Mohammed Abdullah Al Qahtani, global speaker and author of The Power of Word. In his speech, he will highlight how to employ the art of charismatic speaking and persuasion to capture public attention, communicate information successfully and convey key government messages.
Motivational speaker, Charlie Rocket, will discuss the journey of change, starting from a personal dream to achieve the dreams of others, during a session titled “Achieving Dreams is not Impossible”. It will highlight ways to instill hope in others to reap constructive and positive human aspirations and methods to inspire individuals.
In an inspiring talk titled “The Power of Habits and the Secrets to Productivity,” American writer and journalist Charles Duhigg will take attendees on a journey of discovery in neuroscience, the psychology of habit formation, and how to succeed with the least. of stress and sacrifice of what we care about. He’ll share his ideas on how to get rid of bad habits, learn good ones, and improve the things we do to become smarter, faster, and better at everything.
