Reports to: Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Membership
FLSA status: not exempt; full time – 40 hours per week

Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Membership, the full-time Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the full cycle of the recruitment process for Girls on the Run International, subsidiary councils and occasionally other councils of Girls on the Run. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruiting with a focus on delivering an exceptional candidate and new-hire experience, working knowledge in sourcing strategies, commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA).

• Work in collaboration with SVP, Human Resources and Membership to define recruitment objectives, process and timeline based on organizational and departmental needs
• Maintain valuable working relationships with all recruiting teams by working collaboratively to create job descriptions and recruiting strategies that align with organizational policies, procedures, and core values
• Create, edit and place job advertisements, ensuring job postings are accessible and reach as many qualified and diverse candidates as possible
• Using the ATS, ensure an exceptional candidate experience by managing full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, applicant tracking and matching, scheduling and screen completion phone calls and interviews, including candidate travel arrangements as required and final offers
• Support recruitment teams by developing interview guides specific to the needs of each position
• Conduct reference and background checks as appropriate
• Serve as primary and SME point of contact for recruitment, advise managers and recruitment teams on recruitment policies, procedures and legal requirements, guide teams through the recruitment process
• Build contacts and relationships with job posting sites, colleges/universities, diversity organizations and other job posting networks
• Advance organizational commitment to IDEA by tracking key metrics related to recruitment demographics
• Recruit and support onboarding efforts for the internship program
Staff management
• Serve as the point of contact for employee questions related to policies and procedures, referring to the Specialist or SVP, Human Resources and Membership as needed
• Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientations and onboarding, including all multi-state onboarding documents
• Process personnel changes, salary increases and other information changes in payroll system and applicable vendor sites
• Work closely with the finance department to ensure payroll related changes are captured and ready for payroll processing
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic personnel files
• Update and maintain quarterly HR dashboard, providing quarterly report to management
• Update and maintain employee directory
• Track manager performance management review documentation
• Provide key personnel related communications
• Collect information and reports as required by SVP, Human Resources and Membership and senior management
Administration of benefits
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization’s annual or quarterly open enrollment for all benefits programs
• Manage the enrollment of new employees in all benefits packages
• Manage employee relocation, including relocation communications, compliance and transition of organization’s benefits offerings, including COBRA management
• Manage leave accruals, tracking and employee questions
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization’s sick leave program
• Prepare and distribute annual employee total compensation statements
• Support the organization’s compensation benchmark activities and managers’ requests
• Serve as a liaison between the Human Resources and Finance departments
General responsibilities

• Serve as a role model for Girls on the Run
• Develop positive relationships with staff and board members
• Ensure actions comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by becoming familiar with existing and new legislation
• Any other task deemed necessary by the SVP, Human Resources and Membership and senior management

• 3+ years of HR generalist experience, including full-cycle internal recruiting; or a combination of equivalent education and experience
• 3+ years of experience in direct benefits and people management
• Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems and resume databases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple recruitments from different departments at different stages of the process
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Proven attention to detail
• Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at once and deliver on time
• Strong customer service skills with excellent follow up and follow up
• Able to thrive in a complex environment by managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Passion for empowering girls to reach their limitless potential

Other job information:
This position offers a salary range of $23 to $24/hour depending on experience. In addition, Girls on the Run International offers a generous PTO plan, a benefits package that includes company-subsidized medical and dental care, vision coverage, life insurance, and paid medical leave and a 401k plan with employer matching. This position is 40 hours per week and is completely remote. The selected candidate must currently reside or have immediate plans to relocate to one of the following states: California, Connecticut, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Wisconsin.
